Brand Story
Sara has over 20 years of experience designing, making, and altering wedding dresses.
As a child, Sara watched and learned from her grandfather, a tailor. She began teaching herself to sew in her teens by reading brochures and magazines about sewing and design. She spent much of her free time altering her own clothes and eventually making her own clothes.
Armed with all this knowledge, she taught a sewing and clothes-making class throughout her twenties, seeking to spread her passion for fashion. Over a decade of teaching later, she started her own wedding dress boutique in her hometown on the Caspian Sea. For 12 years, she personally designed and custom-made dresses for hundreds of people.
In May 2018, she opened Alma Bridal in Downtown Vancouver, still chasing a simple passion–to help people feel beautiful on their special days.
